Using a 4870 over hdmi. How would i use a headset?

Sorry for the dumb question but as title, i''m using HDMI for my sound and video and i'm looking to get a headset. How would i connect it?

Would a usb type work with my setup as i have no soundcard?

If you TV has an audio out jack use that?

Either USB headset, or normal headset with output plugged into tv, and a cheap (~£10 PCI) soundcard for recording.
Substitute headset plugged into amp, if you're using an AVR.

Thought of that but what about the mic?

I'm assuming usb should work but don't want to buy one if it wont!

USB will, you can use onboard sound aswell as hdmi sound as far as i know.
