Hi All,

I need some newbie advice regarding Display Port.
I have recently got a Palit GTX 970 that has mini display port connectors.

I currently have a 3 monitor set up, used for work and some gaming.
I have also just got a new monitor that has a display port connection.
Currently on all 3 monitors i have DVI cables, and 2 of them have active display port adapters.

I cant actually find a display port cable that is normal size one end ( to go in the monitor) and mini display port the other end, ( to go in the graphics card )

I guess the question i'm asking is, is the setup i currently have ok, or should i be using an actual display port cable, one that is normal size one end and small size the other end, and what is the benefit of it?

many thanks

ahh ok. the ones i saw were all labelled for Apple devices which was confusing me.
So ultimately its just the same as a dvi yes? no difference in performance ?

thanks

DP supports a wider range of refresh rates and resolutions, but if that is already working for you on DVI then no there's no difference in performance for resolutions that both support
