I have a KVM switch to allow my two PCs to use a single monitor. This KVM supports DVI (2560x1600 60hz).
I'm looking to upgrade my monitor, but many monitors do not have DVI ports.
If I were to get a DVI to HDMI lead (to plug into a new monitor), would this be likely to cause any issues due to protocols etc? Or is it practically the same connections just in a different shape?
Likewise, is there any issue with a DVI->Display Port lead?
With resolutions upto 2560x1440 @ 60hz?
EDIT: I think I'd need a DVI-D to display port cable... and from what I see, they do not exist
