Hello,

In a week I will have a new laptop, however, I will be moving to my brothers house for a month at this time. Is it possible to use my laptop (wireless or otherwise - he does have a computer) at his house using his phone line? - or will I have to contact my server to make any changes?.

TIA

Anthony

If he has a wireless router you could just connect straight to that.

Of course if he has a WEP key or other you would have to enter that!

If he just has a router you can also connect to that via a "straight RJ45" cable.

If he just has a modem well you will just have to take his cable out his PC for the time you want to be on the Internet (only 1 person on at a time with this)

Or Im not sure, you could use a "crossover RJ45" cable, which would connect directly from your laptop to your brothers PC (this is for if he has a modem only)

Steve :)
