Ive got an Acer Revo RL70 that runs openelec but I would like to switch this to Win 7 on the internal HDD and run openlec off a USB flash drive.
The problem is that the RL70 has no optical drive. Ive tried creating a Win 7 bootable USB which fails at different points (got a few more on order in case this USB drive is the culprit)
I have an old Core 2 Duo iMac and an external HDD dock .
Does anyone know if I can use the iMac to install from onto the RL70 similar to Target mode or use the HDD dock in any way?
Im sort of clutching at straws as Ive used Linux from a Live USB on the RL70 but it just isnt kid friendly enough.
Any thoughts or am I stuck with trying the USB method until it just works?
