I have an audiophile 2496. I also have a microphone i'd like to use. It uses a mini jack. The two in's on my sound card are L and R and both big jack holes. So i use an adaptor on the microphone plug it into one of the ins. But my sound card won't pick it up at all, no program will pick it up and i can't communicate with my microphone. Found no help on google, so wondering if someone on here can help at all. Cheers

I have a soundblaster live! 24 bit card spare, but wouldn't running two sound cards cause a hell of a lot of conflicts audio/driver wise? I may go for the USB headset option, although the sennheisers ive heard good things about are a good £40. As much of a musician as i am, i don't own any pre-amps and i recently got rid of my sm57 so that option won't be for me. Cheers for the help guys.
