Hi Guys

So I bought a new Surface Pro 3 recently, and in the setup I used my Hotmail Microsoft Account as this is what it prompted me for. It is convenient using a Microsoft account, what with easy access to One Drive and Hotmail etc. However, is it just me or is there no such thing as computer privacy anymore, as seeing as I sign in with an account, surely literally everything I do on the computer can be seen by Microsoft?

I've read that I could use a local account instead of my Microsoft account, but that won't be so convenient. I just don't like the fact that now everything I use the computer for must be trackable, and there's no easy way to sign out.

Rgds :o

You can have Local account, but Microsoft seem to keep this obtuse during set-up.

If you use any apps they might complain about not being logged in if using a Local account.

Can change account by bringing up the right charms bars > Settings > Change PC Settings (very bottom right corner) > Accounts.
