Using a phone to connect a laptop to the internet (not the usual question)

I've just setup my laptop to connect to the internet. I'm posting this on it right now :) I've seen several posts in the past about whether you can use the phone as a modem. But I have a slightly different slant on it...

I'm quite a heavy user of the internet using the phone to browse directly. I've never been charged anything for it as I have a free web bolt-on on my O2 Simplicity deal.

I have a Windows Mobile phone (Samsung I780). Instead of using the phone as a modem I have setup Internet Connection Sharing. So the phone is still the device which is connected to the internet in the normal way and is exposing itself as the device doing the browsing.

Does anyone know how I stand on T&C's with this, and also whether there is still a way that the laptop use can be detected.

Sorry to bump but I too would be interested on o2's stance on this.

I will be taking out the £19 a month simplicity 'sim only' deal, with the unlimited web bolt on soon, i'll be using it in my N95 8gb. I have a HP mini 2133 that I will connect via bluetooth to occasionally browse/msn messenger with when away from a network.

Anyone done this and had any problems with o2??
