Using a router as an access point only

First off, I am a cheapskate.

I have an old but reliable Linksys 54GS running Tomato firmware.

This router is only 54G speeds.

I have a Netgear WNR2000, which is pants.

Now, if wanting to use the Netgear as just a wireless access point giving me Wireless N speeds., I assume I just disable DHCP on the router and hook it up to the Linksys.

Does the cable from the Linksys goes into the WAN port on the Netgear?

To summarise, I wish to use the stability of the Linksys with Wireless N support from the Netgear.

Many Thanks.

Thanks.

Have got it connected up, although is only connecting at 54Mbps.... even though it is a Wireless N router and a Wireless N adapter..... ?

It is Windows Vista.. Installing Windows Updates now.
