I am currently using the HDMI connection from the graphics card to the monitor. I am having issues where the monitor does not recognise the signal. When this happens I have to hard power off the PC, which is not good for the operating system.
Both my graphics card and monitor have VGA ports. If I use the VGA connection I am guessing there should be no issues at all as this is the base video standard.
So will Windows 10 still work when I switch to use the VGA connection? I am assuming I will have to update the NVIDIA driver after booting up.
I do have a small system which does run VGA on Windows 10 but it started out as Windows 7 and Windows 10 just worked with it after the upgrade.
Im not sure what the HDMI problem is. I have tried different cables with no difference. I have tried the Display Port connection also and again sometimes the monitor fails to recognise the signal.
