Do UK Visa debit cards work in the US? I only ask this as i don't have time to change up any money, as the day i get paid is the day i leave on holiday.

Thanks

Ben

It should work. I've never had any issues using any of my cards abroad, certainly never in the States... Some banks may need you to warn them that you are travelling so they don't cancel the card or bring up a security alert on it's useage.

i've been spending a lot of time over there due to me moving out in august and i always take a nationwide debit/credit card and never had a problem , they also give the best rates imo

it will work, depending on your bank itll charge you around £1 each time you use it however.

Also phone the bank and tell them your going abroad.

If its Electron/Solo you mave in-store issues but ATM will be fine,
If its Delta/Switch(Maestro) in-store shouldnt be an issue for you and again ATM will work fine

Cheers peeps, hopefully i shouldn't have any problem in Disneyland as you can charge everything back to your room and pay it all in one go.

My Lloyds TSB VISA debit was accepted everywhere, including for deposits on hire cards and suchlike.
