when changing clocks in afterburner the screen flashes when i click apply, does this when i overclock or revert to defaults, also noticed lately that when overclocked it throttles in bf3, gpu usage varies between 80-98%
i am using 12.11 beta 8's

Are you using afterburners un-official overclocking method? (editing a cfg file)

If so, thats why.

normally use that patch of yours followed by the /xcl

just been into bf3 and left card at stock, gpu went to 100% and was getting 28fps!!!, somethings not right, just got device removed warning too when card at stock, game froze at loading????

I revised my install guide a while back. That file is no longer needed with the current latest version of afterburner. 2.3.0.

Follow the guide again from the start, using the new version of afterburner and see if it fixes your problem. :) Don't forget to remove old afterburner+ the old dll file.

I don't have this problem you mention but use afterburner. ;)
