Using an nvidia card with ATI?

I was wondering, seeing as BF3 is optimized for Nvidia, and I have a 6950. Could I use say a 9800gtx (or whatever) as a physics card? Would it work? Would it benefit me etc?
 
Using an Nvidia physx card with an AMD main card isn't supported any more. There are hacks around to get it to work, but it's probably not worth it.
 
I don't think it's worth the hassle and you'll probably somehow end up voiding your warranty. Just leave it alone and use your 6950 ( I hope you didn't buy the 1gb version!)
