Hi, I have a brand new Antec P182 that was stored in the garage for several years. I am about to build myself a new system and would like to use it if possible. Would it work with modern parts and psu's? I want a quiet system.

I remember when it came out originally that it was picky with psu cable lengths. I would be using an ATX motherboard and probably a Corsair RM-650 or Seasonic G-650 psu.

Any issues you can think of?

No issues I can think of other than psu cable length (can buy 8pin/24 pin braided extension cables) what you must do for any case and make sure the cooler height restriction specific to the case is okay and psu length okay, as you do get some longer ones at the top end.

Running two graphics cards in sli or xfire wouldn't be the best but still okay depending on speed quality of front 120mm fan probably best to have a gap there with that middle hard drive cage out which you might have to do anyway with a longer graphics card.

Other than that cant think of any issues, mainstreams still standard ATX.

I'm still using a P182, got a 780 in it even. It's ok, quite cramped though with the PSU and like C64 says ideally you want PSU extension cables, or you can mock a job like I did.

I wouldn't mind seeing how you get on with this. I've got a P182 myself, I attempted some cable management, but there doesn't seem to be much if any room behind the back cover
