Using Aperture and iPhoto together

Does anyone use iPhoto and Aperture together??
Aperture a bargain on the App Store and was thinking of getting it.
Is there anyway to use the editing capabilities of Aperture and the Cataloging of iPhoto together, i.e. using the same library or whatever??
Or is it worth just switching over to Aperture??

Once you have Aperture you won't be using iPhoto since it's basically identical with the cataloging but has all the extra editing stuff. I got Aperture, imported my iPhoto library into the Aperture one, deleted the iPhoto library and the icon off the dock and have never used it since.

Aperture can open your iPhoto library file, so once you install it you're good to go.
