Someone here told me about this and I tested it out and it works fine but I was never sure how far away you had to be to inorder for your mac to lock/unlock. 99% of the time I manually lock my machine when moving away from my desk but how close do I need to be for the Apple Watch to unlock it? It gets me a bit paranoid to come back to my machine all ready and waiting.

That is the thing. It isn't in a open space as such. I live in a shared house with 7 people and normally people are pretty good about staying out of our rooms but it is just the fact that they could that makes me a little worried.

Very close in my experience, if I'm not basically sat at my desk it doesn't work.
