Asked this in the photography section but got no answer so i'll ask here :)

So i received the Sanyo CG10 camcorder, but (initially) the battery doesn't seem to last long. I was thinking of buying another battery just in case i'm out somewhere and i run out of juice. The official Sanyo DB-L80 battery has a capacity of 740mAh.
I'm wondering whether it will be ok to put in a DB-L80 compatible 1300mAh battery (Pentax D-LI88)? And will it last double the time than the 740mAh? Or should i just play it safe and get another DB L80 battery? They are priced the same (give or take a quid).

Nah i bought it 2nd hand. But the (written) receipt says it was bought mid July.

Because it's on the bay, keep to UK sellers? Or will batteries from HK be genuine?

Hmm. When i say 'compatible', they are the actual batteries for the Pentax Optio P70 but can fit the Sanyo. And i'll be buying from a UK seller.
Or would you still recommend buying the DB L80 one?
