Just been reading up on DSR and look like I can do it with my card. Is it worth trying it out on my 1080p monitor? Will I see any difference? How does it work and does anyone, with some knowledge, have any tips on using it? I figured the 980Ti was a decent chip so would perhaps be able to render 1440 then display at 1080...is that how it works? Just not too sure how to use it.

I play Fallout 4, Grid, Battlefield and Elite.

Basically it will render the image at whatever resolution you select then fit it on to your screen. The benefit is it samples each pixel at that higher resolution and makes things look smoother and oversamples textures and what not.

Basically you get a multitude of options, such as using DSR at X1.25, X1.5, x2 and so on. You just need to go into nvidia control panel enable DSR and tick all the checkbox options available. In game you then select from the higher resolutions that will become available and job done. With the various options you get given, can choose one which improves quality without hammering your fps.

It's a nice way of using extra grunt to improve image quality if you can hold the higher rates no issue. Good and detailed explanation here: http://techreport.com/review/27102/maxwell-dynamic-super-resolution-explored

I use it all the time now most games now do not offer MSAA at 1080p this is a killer on the eyes so set smoothing to 0% and go 4x for the proper experience. Great for Res 6 and other games like Overwatch with stinky SMAA.
