Thinking about using my main PC as my HTPC also, problem is its in a different room, plugged into my nice U2410 as its main display...

Before I go wiring up an HDMI cable through the wall to my main TV in the house, can I keep both an HDMI and DVI-D cable attached to my 5770 (which not that it makes any difference, but it's x-fired)

Anyway is there any simple way of keeping both plugged in at the same time to the GFX and selecting which one i want to use? But not extending or cloning which 95% of the time will be its main screen the U2410.. Or will i have no choice but to shuffle around the back of the machine every time. or go through the hassle of enabling or disabling which ever screen i want through the driver?

Lightbulb moment... Perhaps an HDMI switch box may work? so i'd only have one hdmi cable leaving the PC, but 'Y' to each panel though a switch box.. Would that be the best? Am I missing something?
