Do I actually get any benefit of a USB 3.0 port when I am plugging a USB 2.0 hard drive into it, or will it be limited to the speed of the 2.0 connection?
If I buy a new external drive, do I need to make sure it has a 3.0 cable and connection?
i.e. Is it the cable that is important in determining the speed?
