I've got myself a Mac Mini and I absolutely love using Front Row with the little remote. Looks beautiful on a 32" HDTV.

However, what is annoying me is the fact that Front Row only seems to want to look at your Home folder on your main HDD. I would like to keep all my media on an external USB drive to keep the OS drive as uncluttered as possible but then I can't use Front Row to browse my media. Is their a way to add folders into Front Row or to move my Home folder to the secondary drive (preferably the former as doing the latter will mean that I will need the USB drive plugged in if I want to boot OSX at all).

How is everybody else managing their media for use with Front Row?

Have you tried adding an alias (i.e. shortcut) to your media inside the relevant folder in your Home directory?

I don't know if Front Row follows them though.

I just tried it on my machine (adding an alias to the TV Programs directory on my second HDD to the Movies folder in my Home folder) and it seems to work... so :)

The second generation of Front Row in Leopard is suppost to be much more configurable with a lot more options and feature ... so bring on Spring :) :)
