Using HD3450 for Physics??

Is it possible to use a Sapphire HD3450 for Physics processing alongside my 4870? Would they need to be connected together using the bridging cable as the 3450 does not have the connector and would it dumb down my 4870?

1) ATi cards currently do not do physics.

2) The 3450 would most likely not be powerful enough for physics.
