Using jpegs as backgrounds in xp

Is there a setting to allow the use of jpegs as backgrounds in xp, my pc at home does, but my work pc doesn't ?

It could be something that has been disables by the network admin like in our office. Somepeople have found away round it by opeining the image in paint and there is an option in paint which is set as background.

I havent done this so i cound not confirm it.

As mentioned above, your admin has most likely disabled the option to change the backgrounds. You could either try and get around it, or ask him very nicely to enable it.

Thanks for the replies, the work pc is not on a network, it's just my computer. How would one go about enabling the option, I've had a look and can't see anything obvious
