using laptop as a temporary router

Basically, I am going away for a week with a bunch of mates and want to know if I can set my laptop up to connect to my 3g mobile phone internet and then share it with my mates using the internal wireless or a wireless access point?

Are there any programs that run under vista 32bit that will allow me to do this? I basically need it to take the external IP, run a DHCP server and allow about 5-7 devices to connect...

'Internet Connection Sharing' is built into windows.

I'm not 100% sure it included DHCP, you could use this http://tftpd32.jounin.net/.

However have a good look at your 3g trarif, it won't be fun if you get landed with a massive charge before one of your mates decides to go silly.

I assume this will still be the case out of student letting times? Can I simply plug a wireless access point into the LAN port (im assuming this is how they will delivery net to the room)

I am away from tomorrow. I am taking an ex sky router set as an access point (DHCP disabled etc) and will try and hope!
