Using my Logitech G5 on my Mac.

So recently I've thought, 'Screw it, I'm going to use my Mac full time, no more of this PC business', so I've set everything properly and then I've began to use my Logitech G5 mouse instead of my apple magic mouse as it's more ergonomic, it's more comfy and so on.

But it seems to be a bit weird, like it's got some acceleration problems or something? it jumps across the screen and stuff like that?

I've got a program called: Steermouse, which I had to pay £10 for, -_-' and that does seem to help correct the problem at hand, but what is going on? why are mice so bad on Mac sometimes? is there a way around this or will I have to carry on using this Steermouse app?

I used a program called USB Overdrive which is similar I guess to your steermouse program but this nearly gets rid of nearly all acceleration. Its not 100% perfect but for desktop use i'm happy with it.

I can only really tell its not 100% off from playing counter strike source on Mac, switching back to windows for it I can really tell acceleration is off 100%

I never realised this either when i bought my macbook and never thought it would be an issue to be honest

USB Overdrive, is that a free program or is that a program/app you have to buy?

Its free but comes with a 10 second delay you have to click OK to when you boot up, you pay for a license if that bugs you too much. Deffo worth a try to see if you prefer it

i use usb overdrive too its asbolutely fantastic (for my G5 too [favourite mouse ever to be released ] )
