Hi, I have a pda with wireless connection to my network, What i want to do is basically use it as a sort of remote, I have a computer attached to my tv and was wondering if i could control the audio and video's on it by connecting to the computer wirelessly and doing all the functions from there (like play, pause etc).

Now i am able to connect to the computer with the pda but as soon as i connect to the pc with the pda it logs me out, The pda is using pcocket pc 2003 and the pc is using windows xp pro.

Basically is there anyway at all that i can do this?

Thanks

With regard to your PDA disconnecting immediately after syncing :

Open up activesync on your PDA, go to the 'Tools' menu and select 'Options..', on the page that opens, select the 'Options' button. You should then see a page with a dropdown menu and a section labeled 'When syncing remotely', under which there should be two radio buttons labeled 'Maintain connection' and 'Disconnect when done'. The disconnect button is selected by default, so select the 'Maintain connection' button, which should then keep your PDA connected to your PC until you manually disconnect.

Also, on the first option page, you might need to check the box labeled 'Sync with this PC during manual sync'.

(Based on a Toshiba e800 wifi running Windows PocketPC 2003 SE)

Remoteamp works a treat if you're using itunes, wmp or winamp.

Has anybody had much success with stylish? It seems to start ok but everytime i touch the pda screen the mouse zooms off to the right hand-side of the screen. I think it's because im running multimonitors.

Either that or you're in the wrong mode. There are two modes - absolute and non-absolute (can't remember the name). Absolute mode means that the PDA screen is like a scaled down version of the main screen - so tapping the top moves the cursor to that co-ordinate on the screen. Likewise, tapping the bottom moves the cursor to the bottom. The other way is like with a normal mouse, and most laptop touchpads - upwards movement moves up, down moves down etc. Hopefully that makes sense.
