Hi

I have a query

I am planning to use Noctua NH-D15S CPU cooler on a "Lian Li LANCOOL Mesh II Performance" Case, can someone let me know if the clearance is good enough for this case

Swag

No problem I was not being ignorant as I have looked it up for my PC cases in past but do not own a Lian Li, pretty sure they also give you Mobo/Ram clearances etc.

Not sure what he means then.
I know the cooler the OP mentioned has only one fan.
Quite a while ago tried the D15, but just looking at reviews, was surprised that the outer fan won't allow the side panel to close. Quite a distance from the rest of the cooler, which wasn't only a dimension issue but aesthetically painful to see.
I know that the second fan won't be a game changer, only allowing very few degrees better performance, but sure that was a surprise. And none of the reviews gave emphasis on that, how the second fan would drastically increase the dimensions of the cooler, from a tight fit to a too big for the case.

Yeah true that, the nf-a15 fans are thicker, that cooler also had issues with taller memory, hence i went for this as it give bit better compatibility when it comes to memory

The D15S is primarily designed to avoid blocking the top PCI-E 16x slot on many Mobos as it is offset, before I had one I used to have use the next slot down which 16x Electric Chipset Slot not CPU slot so not ideal.

AFAIK they all use the same NF-A15 PWM and the only way you can get the 1500rpm version of this fan in poop colour is included with the coolers or buy Chromax Back fans separate, if you buy separate poop coloured fans they are only 1200rpm.

From what i read , they made the D15S for the better RAM clearance , also the S means Single Fan compared to 2 . However if you add the 2nd Fan , it performs exactly the same as D15

From the horses mouth:

"Tailored to provide superior RAM and PCIe compatibility, the NH-D15S is an asymmetrical single fan version of Noctua’s award-winning flagship model, the NH-D15. Thanks to its asymmetrical design, the NH-D15S clears the top PCIe slot on most µATX and ATX motherboards. At the same time, the single fan setup and recessed lower fins guarantee 100% RAM compatibility with memory modules of up to 65mm height. Users who have sufficient room can also upgrade the cooler with either a 120mm or round 140mm fan on the front fin stack for further improved performance in dual fan mode. Topped off with the trusted, pro-grade SecuFirm2™ multi-socket mounting system, Noctua’s proven NT-H1 thermal compound and full 6 years manufacturer’s warranty, the NH-D15S forms a complete premium quality solution that combines dual tower efficiency with excellent compatibility and flexible upgrade options."

In addition to the ram clearance. ;)

I can confirm that there is plenty of space, I was pleased with just how much clearance there is, i have the NH-D15s in this case, only gripe is that I had to settle on the standard cooler due to availability of the chromax version
