Using old computer parts from previous build which had a blown psu?

Hey all,
I'm doing a new build after my previous comp died from a (suspected) blown psu (Hiper Type-R Modular 580w PSU). Would it still be ok to reuse the harddrives and graphics card to be put into my new build?

I also brought an akasa pwm splitter to have the cpu fan and rear exhaust case fan both connected to the cpu fan header. The splitter also has a cable that goes straight to the psu, is this the correct way to install this, as I don't want the fans to getting full power from the psu and running 100% fan speed.

Thanks for the advice, My old hard drives were still functioning, have yet to test the graphics.

Its right to connect it to the PSU and it will run at w/e speed according to mobo. makesure to set up the PWM function in the bios first or it will be just at 100% speed

1. Having a bit of an issue with my pwm splitter cable. The rear exhaust fan is not spinning despite the cpu fan running. If the two are connected to cpu fan header via a splitter then surely they must be synchronised?

- When the computer is running the cpu fans runs normally (although slightly loudly), the rear exhaust fan starts for a millisecond then cuts out, but it doesn't complete a full rotation. Just starts then immediately stops.

The splitter allows 3 fans to be connected. If two are taken could it be the last unused connector causing the problem?

2. The other problem was that it was pretty wishful thinking of me to expect my os hd with all my applications to run perfectly in the new system (complete rebuild). It fails to boot and I didn't expect anything else. However my msdnaa w7 serial is in that harddrive (I have no other copy). Is there a common place in the win dir where the serial is stored? I'm thinking of just starting again, installing a fresh os onto the new ssd and then use magic jelly bean load hive option to extract the serial from the other hdd
