Hi all, about to buy a couple of new parts for my parents PC and getting a bit confused by what speed memory i will need.
Going to buy the gigabyte ga-ma78lmt-us2h motherboard and amd phenom ii x4 quad core 850 "95w edition" 3.30ghz cpu
i need a new hs/fan for this but i'm wondering if i can use an old one i have which was pretty good at the time.
it's a Thermalright 947-U which i know is designed for a Socket A motherboard (old AMD style). Will this be compatible with an AM3 motherboard like the one above?
