Aparantly if I try to access online banking with my Halifax account from a foreign IP address my account will be frozen as a security measure, and they tell me there is no way around this - even if I let them know in advance that I'll be abroad.

So does anyone know which banks (if any) allow you to use their online banking service from foreign IP addresses?

I don't know of a bank that specifically allows this, but have you thought about remote desktop to a UK machine?

It's how I do it when I go away.

You got any Dutch banks over there :p ?

Have no problems using Fortis OLB from Poland, nor does my mate have any problems using ING online banking from Turkey (iirc he transferred me 20 euros when he was abroad), or my other mate ABN Amro from Austria.

I'd have a rant against them tbh if they'd block me from using it abroad. I use a bloody access key and 2FA token, someone would need my card, my pin code and the cardreader key generator to break in on my account. Whether it's from abroad or not it shouldn't make a single difference.

Must say that's a rather stupid policy.

I've accessed my NatWest online banking account while in Canada in the past, but I'm not sure what their current policy is.
