Using out of date mushrooms

I've got button mushrooms which expired 21st Feb. They've gone dark coloured on top. They smell perfectly fine though and the inside looks clean. Cook or bin?

Well I had a fresher pack of mushrooms which I used some of yesterday. I'm not sure I want mushrooms again just yet so will probably end up binning these old ones as they'll no doubt be properly off by the time I want them. Can I freeze fresh mushrooms in future? And can they be defrosted in the microwave, or just let them thaw in the fridge?
