Using oven and grill simultaneously

Quick question. I've either used the grill setting or the oven setting in my bosch built in electric oven, but as yet, not grilled and roasted/baked simultaneously. I've got some burgers to grill and want to oven bake something else at the same time but don't know if I can do this? I can only select one setting at a time. My oven settings are hot air grilling (fan and grill alternate), radiant grilling (whole area below the grill element gets hot), and 3D hot air (the main fan assisted oven). Would radiant grilling do it?

I realise this doesn't answer your question, but I want to provide you with an alternative. Pan fry the burgers on either side until browned, then cook them in the oven on normal fan-assisted setting along with whatever else you have in there.

I take it you've only got one oven/grill door? If so you can't no. You need a double oven unit or a microwave oven.

Yeah, single oven/grill combined. Well, I've also got a new built in convection microwave above the oven with grill element at the top. I suppose I'd have to use that to grill, but I'm trying to keep the microwave from getting splattered inside with juices and only really have been using it for heating food which is covered. Don't suppose there's a way I can grill burgers without it making a mess on and around the grill element?

Tbh I'd just switch it over from oven to grill and then back to oven when you're done.

Put some tinfoil over whatever you're baking if you're bothered about it overcooking from the top or cooling down too much. Or alternatively take out whatever you're baking and tent with tinfoil to keep it warm while you're grilling.

Depends what you're cooking but I imagine for most things the baking time won't need to be that exact :p
