Hi over a year ago I decided to buy a new router and went for the Netgear 600 Wireless router. However despite being in a Bungalow and turning the 5GHZ band off I still can't get a signal in the back bedroom a mere 8 metres from the router (our home has brick internal walls)
So I bought the wireless extender using the electricity network, Powerline also from Netgear.
The utility shows everything working fine.
It links up to the router and gives great signal in the back bedrooms.
The problem I have now is that when walking around the house or moving with ipad or phone from room to room the connection gets for want of a better term "stuck".
Pages stop loading and netflix stops working.
It's not until I close and open the app that it then connects again.
The main problem area is the kitchen which is between the router and wireless extender. It's like a deadzone between the two connections.
Any ideas?
