using speakers and headphones simultaneously

is it possible without a splitter? i got one but it appears the jack is too small for the soundcard. the sound card is an Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio 7.1 Sound Card.

i might be wrong, but iirc the creative software has setting in it to stop speaker sound if headfones are connected, just need to set it to what you want.

ye im reinstalling the creative software i cant access the control panel for it very annoting

I've got my xtreme gamer setup so my headphones are connected to my card via the front panel + hd audio connector and my speakers are connected directly at the back. I can have both outputs running simultaneously without any issues. I can even connect another set of headphones for my onboard audio and have that running at the same time as well
