using tightvnc

hi, ok so ive just installed tightvnc on each of my pc's, i can connect to main pc from laptop and control it fine(havent tried outside of my router yet) but hte problem im having is when i click on start menu or right click anything i cant see the options.
i can see on main pc but of course when im away from home i wont see that.
what is the best set-up for this and is there anything i should know or do so i can connect when away from home without problems.

Just go through the setting and see what work for you i cannot remember what i have set mine to. sometimes there will be issues with not being able to see some popups just click the refresh button on the vnc viewer.

Try logmein instead.

This is probably due to latency of sending the mouse click, TightVNC prob doesn't deal with latency very well.

Yeah, if you're only using one PC, logmein free will be perfect.

LogMeIn Free is brilliant, I use it on all of family members PCs, they ring me up, I can connect to them in a few clicks - its wonderful.

Surely if you're trying to connect to another computer, there will be at least two PCs?
