I'm looking to put 2GB into my AthlonXP (3200) setup. I don't really have the cash atm to get a whole new system, but I'd like to get Vista running with a small memory upgrade, some flash memory and a new graphics card (my Radeon 9800 burnt out)
Atm my system runs on 1GB PC3200 in dual channel. I've been looking around for sets of 2GB PC3200's, and they're way more expensive than newer memory designed for newer systems. What I wanted to know is, what can I buy that will work? Can I slap just anything into my system and let the memory get bottlenecked by the rest of my setup? I hope so... because the alternative is paying double the price for old tech
