Right the problem is that when i plug my PC in to my TV it doesn't see the desk top it's just a black screen if i open up World of Warcraft it will work the TV will see my computer but if i close/minimize/put window's mode on the screen just goes black again

On my old computer some times it worked straight away and some times i had to open up wow first then minimize in the screen would work as a normal monitor after that

Is there some thing i need to change so that i can use the TV as a monitor?

Im using Window's 7
The TV is a 42" Panasonic Viera

No idea why it wont work as it did on my old computer

If there is any more you need to know about my comp/tv just ask ill try find it out

What connection cable type have you used to hook up your TV to your PC?

Also, did you use any adapters to connect the TV to the PC?

Finally, what make and model graphics card are you using?

I have a normal PC Cable the TV has a slot in the back for it the same i use for my normal monitor

The desktop doesn't have a normal socket for the Cable tho so i have to use an adapter really not sure what it's called tho the PC cable goes in the back and it is plugged in to the tower

My graphics card is: ATI Radeon HD 6950 2048MB GDDR5 Graphics Card

It sounds like you have connected the TV as a secondary monitor, so it will run programs correctly when they are windowed, but if you run something full-screen (like a game) then the TV just goes black. If you want to play games on the TV then right-click on your desktop, click "screen resolution" and set the TV to be the primary monitor. If you don't want the TV as the primary, but do want to game on it - then try running games in borderless window mode.

Thing is it's the other way around the screen will work when i have WoW open but if i close it/minimize it then it goes black

Also i take my monitor cable out and plug a 2nd one that is connected to my tv (spare one) and just put it in so there is only one screen connected at a time
