Do you guys think using this as a computer monitor would be a good idea? Or should I just shell out 120 bucks for a new monitor?

The reason I'm asking is I'm short of space and if I could plug my PS3 in + a computer I could just sit the TV on a small desk and job done. :D

You might want to remove that link and instead state the model name and spec.

I would suggest against using a TV like that as a monitor.

This is mainly to do with the resolution- 1366 x 768. This doesn't offer much screen real-estate and on a 26 inch monitor the pixels will be pretty huge.

PC monitors usually use panels with much smaller pixels and larger resolutions. Also, they are designed to reduce ghosting and input lag (which are important for fast-paced gaming) - which TVs usually don't do to the same level.
