Using two different types of RAM?

might sound like a silly question but ill be getting 4gb of ddr3 1333, and atm have 2gb of ddr, is it pointless in trying to run 6gb of everything dual channel, or am i going to see better from just having 4gb of ddr3?

You mean 2GB of DDR1 modules? As they need a different DIMM slot to the DDR3 modules.

They are physically different shapes and so won't be able to fit together at all.
