Using two routers?

First let me explain what it is I want. I live in a biggish house and the signal doesn't reach from one end to the other. Unfortunately my rooms far enough that it has a bad signal :(
I have a spare D-Link Dir 615 router and was wondering if it was possible to connect that router to the main router downstairs (its a virgin superhub I think) and then use that router to give my ps3 and computer wired connections as well as extending the wireless range? Is this possible and would the second router have to be wired into the main router or could it e wirelessly connected? Thanks for the help!

You can wirelessly do it, if the DLink will act as a wireless access point, if not, then cable it, and plug the cable from your VMrouter into the DLink. Just make sure, if you do this, to diable DHCP on the Dlink, unless you want a seperate network entirely, and then connect the VMrouter into the internet port of the DLink router, and run a completely seperate network.

Thanks for that :) but the thing is I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to wireless routers and stuff so... Is there a step-by-step guide? Or is there a particular term for doing this? Cos if there is I can google it ;)
