using USB flash disk to install drivers (F6 windows)

as title says i have to install the uli chipset drivers on my shuttle for it to detect any hard drives on sata. ive searched high and low and cant find a solution to use my flashdisk to load the drivers.

as you all know the screen says insert disk into A: , ive found a few random sites saying i can format my flash disk so it shows as a floppy in dos but still havnt gotten the F6 menu when installing windwos to recognise the flashdisk.

any ideas?

Would it not be easier just to temporally nick a floppy drive from another computer, stick it in, and then after windows is sorted, take it out?

or buy 1 just to sit in your cupboard for times like this. (you can even buy external A drives, so even less effort)

just my 2 p ne way. good luck with the find though!

I have used nlite a few times and its great for PC's without floppy

Yep^^^

Using nLite you can integrate the drivers so you don't have to bother with searching around for a floppy and hammering F6.
