Using USB port and VB.net

Hi

I am writing a desktop app in vb.net 2005 and need to read and write to the usb port.
Has anybody had any experience of this or know of anywhere I could get some info on it.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I have written software for USB device. However the DLL was provided for me and I simply made a call to this from .NET. I think you will need to use a DLL as Windows 2000 onwards does not let you directly access hardware.
