Using Virgin Media SuperHub as Repeater?

I've just moved into a new house and the signal downstairs is quite poor (the router is connected upstairs). I have a spare SuperHub as I got a new one tihe the new Virgin Media contract and I was wondering if it is possible to use it as a repeater to improve the signal? I can't see any option in the settings so presumably I'd need a custom firmware from somewhere?

On the back it says SuperHub (VMDG480) if that helps at all

I don't think there's any way to configure these in bridge mode, and custom firmware doesn't seem possible from a quick google.

no can do, the SH is locked down with what you can do

Get yourself a second hand Dlink 615D for a tenner and install DDWRT and set it up as repeater bridge.
