Using Virtual Box for a Windows VM on Mac screen issue

Just been trying out virtual box on my iMac seeing as Parallels 6 won't work on Mountain Lion. Got everything installed no problems, Windows 7 up and running and guest additions installed. Only problem I have is that VB doesn't anywhere near fill my 21.5" iMac monitor. At best it's only filling half the screen, even on full screen mode it's no different. All that happens then is the screen is filled by empty border. Is there a way to get a full screen Windows 7 VM e.g. like Parallels or Virtual Box?

I'm guessing you've tried increasing the screen resolution of the guest? i.e. right-click desktop > screen resolution

Absolutely - it does increase the size somewhat but then I end up having a scroll bar on the right so one either can't see the top of Windows or the task bar on the bottom - not ideal at all.

I have now solved this issue myself. Although I had installed VB GuestAdditions, it appears the file had somehow been corrupted. I re-installed the file again and now everything works just fine. It also works with Mountain Lion which is a plus. :D
