Hi guys,

Is it possible to have a server running virtual OS's and clients that log directly into the server (rather than having a os on the client aswell)?

Im just wondering so its no biggie, lol.

Thanks,

Tom,

I'm confused, you are asking if a client can login to a VM server without a local OS?

If so, then no.

What you are touching on here is Thin-Clients, but even that requires local client based software.

Yea when I looked on the net it came up with thin clients.
Do thin clients connect to virtual os's then?
And what os do thin clients actually have on them to allow them to connect?

Thanks,

Thin clients connect to a main server that usually runs something like Terminal Services/Citrix.

I have not used thin clients for AGES but they usually have embedded operating systems on them, be it stored on flash or downloaded over the network on boot.
