I have the 'PC' version of the 360 controller which has developed a dodgy right stick, I've manage to mend it a few times and get it going but I think it's coming to the end of its life, so I was wondering if the Xbox version of the 30 controller will work on the PC, as I have the USB adapter thingy, don't want to buy the PC version as its nearly double the price!

Cheers

With the pc drivers I suspect it would, google it. you can buy the usb wireless adapter and use it that way.

when i got mine they cost £5 more for the 'pc' version, i went to the blokes in purple. i was sure the xbox version would work fine in the pc but i asked the fella anyway to be sure and he said no it wouldn't, i made my case but he was adamant , i got the xbox one any way and it worked just fine.. just a way to rip people off who dont know better.

The 'PC' version was packaged with a driver CD.

That was/is the only difference. Hardware is identical!
