Ok, I had a DC problem a while ago. I swapped the HDD for a RAID1 setup, it didn't boot (no drivers, evidently), so I had to do a repair install... which went wrong... so I restored from a ghost image from about 2hrs earlier and did it again, and it worked.
Now evidently this isn't supported. It caused a 'USN Rollback' issue. i.e. the AD database version on the other server at the other end of the VPN was higher than the version on the 2hr old ghost image.
Anyway, MS wrote the following:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/875495/en-us
That's all very well. Demote the DC, promote it again, job's a good 'un. My problem is this though: Exchange 2003 is installed.
Yet another reason why Exchange 2003 shouldn't be on a DC, but does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
