I have just bought a USR 9108, however i cannot access the internet with it. It is asking me to configure the ISP but even when i enter the details it still wll not connect to the internet. I am on BT broadband, im lookin for help on what others enter with their routers on BT?

Thanks for the reply.

Yeah im using the easy configerator, i have it on all the setting you are using. Of the lights, i get the first two and fourth one. The Third one never turns on!!

I get to the easy configurator and from the configuration screen it then goes to find gateway, loads for a while then says not configured! I get no upstream or downstream figures!

for your username are you using @btbroadband or @btinternet, on my 9106 i used @btbroadband but that is not working either :(

well ive tried and tried again. my settings are correct according to bt but the router will have none of it and just says not configured no matter what i do. Just gonna return the stupid thing!!!

well i sorted it with the help of USR. Instead of using the easyconfigerator i used the web interface to set it up instead. Worked a treat :)

Because it was the easy configurator that was the problem I was told not to use that. My adapter was connecting to the router fine.

First I reset my router pressing the reset button for 10 seconds. Then turned my comp and and it connected recognised the router.

Instead of using the easy configerator you then open explorer and it comes up as page can not be displayed (beacuse the gateway is not configured).

You then access the Web User Interface by typing in http://192.168.1.1

You are then asked for the username and password just like on the easy configerator - so you type in admin and admin.

You can then just configure it as usual, i used the details bt gave me (same as you alrealdy mentioned) and it then sets up the gateway and u configure your encryption there too.

Now whenever i want to change my setting like opening up ports i just open up the WUI.

I dont know if there is a guide on the website, there probably i figured it out for myself once i knew about the WUI.

Hope thats useful :)
