Hi, I wonder if anyone can help with a small problem...
I seem to have lost my pre-installed overclock on the BF Commander pc I bought from ocuk a couple of years ago.
I followed the advice to re-apply it in the sticky above but it's not working, CPUID is giving my speed as 3.4 ghz but the overclock had it at 4.2. If it's of relevance the CPU is i7 2600k and mb is an Asus p8z68 gen 3.
Any advice greatly appreciated on this otherwise I guess I'll have to learn to overclock it myself!
Thanks

Can you download CPU-Z and watch the core speed while you give the CPU something meaningful to do such as run Cinebench.

See if the core speed jumps up?

Will give that a try. Are you saying that CPUId will just give the clock speed at its current state as opposed to what it's maximum clock is?
Thanks for the advice though, will have a look in the morning.

The max OC is applied when needed (turbo boost).

Normally this is a lot slower, but on your system the overclock has been done by increasing the turbo boost ratios to a higher value.

So you still get the power saving down clock when the CPU is twiddling its thumb.
