UT2004 is back!

My brother was in oG, I was in JaG
I remember oG, I was in the UK clanbase TDM team (and then captain) towards the end, good times.

I still speak to the lads in the sas discord from time to time, like wlv and playful etc. Some of them still play UT in some format.

I think I was using my Gateway 2000 PC when the game was released with a Pentium 3 500MHz, TNT2 32MB and a Voodoo 3 2000 PCI. My screenshots are 640x480 res LOL.

At the time BT had game servers on their network so you could dial in and get sub 100ms pings on a 56K modem with a little tweaking.
yeah I was on 56k for a while then moved to ISDN (was SUPER expensive) the ISP freeserve and gave me a 40ms ping on UK servers.

telling the younger lot that unreal and UT was the spawn of the unreal engine which fornite is built on (all be it way newer)

Yeah I remember them. My brother's username was Nightmare. You must have played with him if you was in the UK TDM team. What was your username?

I'm sure my brother still speaks to one or two guys but unfortunately I lost contact with the guys in my clan.

I went to play one game of Instagib CTF last night. I started* on Facing Worlds and before I kew it had spend 2 hours playing different maps! (UT 99, I never liked the modernised look of UT2004 for some reason)
Unreal (tournament 99 at least) music was and still is fantastic. All done in a tracker too, OpenMPT which you can open the music

Ah man, i'm a mere lurker around these parts but it piqued my interest. Used to have so much fun back in the day on UT99. Was big on CTF back in the day and also went to a few DM tournaments.

I've got it installed via steam still, but may give these a download and blast.
